Paris, 31 December 1928 – 5 May 2016. He was one of the most important French cartoonists, having contributed to several periodicals, being lately a member of the staff of Charlie Hebdo. For a brief period after the Portuguese Carnation revolution he lived in Portugal and contributed to its press.
