Pereira, João Feliciano Marques
Macau, 17 May 1863-Lisbon, 17 June 1909. João Marques Pereira had a degree by the Curso Superior de Letras (College of Letters) in Lisbon and was a public servant, mostly at the Ministry of the Nany and Overseas. He acknowledged as an Orientalist and speciallist in Colonial Affairs, having teached Overseas Legislation and Administration at the Escola Superior Colonial (Colonial College) founded in 1902. He was also a member of the Asiatic Commission of the Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa (Lisbon Geographic Society). He was a MP since 1908, elected by the circle of Macau.
