Dilatando a fé e o império

O Arauto, Dilatando a fé e o império, owned by the Church, appeared as a monthly newspaper, and it was the main newspaper in Guinea during the authoritarian period of Estado Novo. It lasted until 1968. In 1950, it became daily, and throughout its whole existence it supported Salazar's regime, the colonial project and the local government. Directed by Father Afonso Simões, it was produced and administrated at the Missionary Residence, Bolama, and it was composed and reproduced at the National Press.
