Founded by Homero Branco, it started as a weekly, then, it became fortnightly since no. 7, on July 1960. Later, it was published weekly and then it became monthly until it ceased, in 1975. Closely surveyed by the censorship for its critical positions on the colonial regime. Since 1963, it counted on the collaboration of the journalists who left A Tribuna, and on several writers and intellectuals, like Eugénio Lisboa, Rui Knopfli, Orlando Mendes, Lourenço de Carvalho, Glória de Sant'Anna, Irene Gil, Edite Arvelos, Fonseca Amaral, Adrião Rodrigues and Rui Baltazar, among others.
