O Académico was a free-distribution newspaper, published between 1963 and 1969, linked to the Companhia Agrícola de Angola (C.A.D.A), based in Amboim, Cuanza Sul. In addition to promoting the company's interests, the newspaper focused particularly on sports-related topics, advocating, for example, the value of play in youth development.
