Azoia de Baixo (Santarém), 25 August 1894 - Braga, 9 November 1964. He studied in Belgium and in Portugal. Was director of the services of land surveying, land registry officer and public persecutor in Guinea. When he returned to Portugal, took a degree in arts at the Universidade do Porto and studied in the Escola Normal Superior, after which became a high-school teacher, pedagogue and researcher.
